Who is TheTheraP.T?
Get to know the founder, Sydnie
Hey, I’m Sydnie :)
I know it takes a lot to put your trust into someone for your fitness or rehab journey, so thank you for being here. Here’s a bit about me so you can be confident I’m the right pick — because let’s face it, there are plenty of bad therapists and personal trainers out there.
I started out in sports therapy, graduating with first class honours BSc and diving into the world of professional, semi-professional, and private practice. I loved helping people recover from injuries, but I kept running into the same problem: once someone hit the end stage of rehab, I had to pass them on to a personal trainer who usually didn’t fully understand their injury history. That handover often meant gaps in progress — and I wasn’t having it.
So, I qualified as a personal trainer too. That way, I could support people from injury to rehab to results, all under one roof. No more stop–start. No more “lost in translation” between therapist and trainer. Just continuity, confidence, and better outcomes.
Now, despite realising the need for personal training within the sports therapy space, I didn’t realise the need for sports therapy within the personal training space until I became a personal trainer. The reason being, everyone has their quirks. Whether it’s an old injury, wobbly knees, muscular imbalances, or niggles that’ve been ignored for years, everyone ‘has something’ that needs a bit of TLC and medical know-how.
In short: I know bodies, I know injuries, and I know how to push you without breaking you. That’s TheTheraP.T. difference.
